Our doctors have a broad range of experience including post graduate qualifications in geriatric medicine, travel medicine, occupational health and sports medicine. The Valewood Medical Clinic is an AIP/AGPAL accredited general practice and all the doctors are vocationally registered.

Dr Peter Giles Dr Peter Giles joined Valewood Clinic in 1982, becoming a partner in 1984. He completed 2 years of post graduate studies in Occupational Health at Monash University in 1992 and is the medical director/adviser for several large corporations.

Other special interests include cardiovascular medicine, diabetes and skin diseases. Peter is the deputy chairman of the Greater Monash G.P. Network.

 

Dr Peter Giles Dr Peter Lackner has been a partner at Valewood Clinic since 2000. He is vocationally registered and has completed a post graduate diploma in sports medicine.

His interests include soft tissue injuries, sports injuries, work cover, geriatric medicine and holds a CAMS licence. Peter is married and has 2 children and enjoys playing golf, active participation in soccer, skiing and fishing.

Peter also speaks German fluently.

 

Dr Peter Giles Dr Michael Kiley completed his post graduate training in 1999 & joined Valewood Clinic partnership in 2001.

He has a special interest in travel medicine and holds a yellow fever, BCG and Q fever administration certificate.

Other interests include respiratory disease, geriatrics, occupational health and skin cancer medicine.

 

Dr Peter Giles Dr Sangeeta Bansal graduated from Melbourne University working in the hospital system for some time, before moving into general practice and joined the Valewood Clinic partnership in 2009.

She has special interests in women health, paediatrics, mental health & general medicine.

Sangeeta is multilingual and can also converse in Hindi & Punjabi.

 

Dr Arjuna Herath

Dr. Arj Herath completed his medical schooling at Flinders University if South Australia in 2002 and is now a partner at Valewood (as of 1/7/2011).

He holds a undergraduate degree in Cellular biology from the University of Kansas (USA).  In addition to all aspects of General Practice, Dr. Herath has a special interest in the treatment of vein-related leg conditions including treatment of spider veins and varicose veins using sclerotherapy.

 

 

 

Dr Peter Giles Dr Jane Song has 25 years experience in medical practice and is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practice and a holder of Ph D degree in internal medicine.

Jane is very interested in all aspects of Medical Care, Especially Women’s Health, Geriatric Medicine, Paediatrics, Aged Care And Mental Health Care.

 

Dr Peter Giles Dr Felix Wilk joined Valewood Clinic in 2001 following a long career in general practice in Springvale.

Felix has special interests in Paediatrics, Counseling and Family Medicine.

Dr Lyn O’Keefe has 22 years General Practice experience with special interest in Women’s Health, Geriatrics and Psychiatry.

Lyn has expertise in counseling techniques for management of depression and anxiety disorders.

Dr Val Arnold has worked in general practice over 25 years with a special interest in Women’s Health. 

Val has considerable interest in Occupational Health and other interests, including Travel and Geriatric Medicine.

Dr George Stabelos was born and bred in Melbourne and completed his degrees in Medicine and Surgery at The University of Sydney in 2005.

Since that time he has been employed as a Doctor at Box Hill, The Angliss, Maroondah and The Royal Children’s Hospitals and for the last two years as a GP Registrar in Medical Clinics.

His special interests include Musculo-skeletal & Sports Medicine, Family medicine, Children’s Health, Weight Loss, Nutritional, Lifestyle and Preventive Health.

Dr Stabelos has also completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Chiropractic), a Graduate Diploma in Exercise & Sports Sciences and qualifications in Acupuncture and Laser Therapy. He enjoys soccer, running and travel and is married with three young children.

Dr Rita Tuladhar MBBS, DCH, PhD, FRACGP


Dr Rita Tuladhar joined the Valewood Practice in 2010 after medical experience in Melbourne, Canberra, Townsville and Ballarat.

She has a special interest in children's and women's health, internal medicine, mental health and aged care.

Rita holds a PhD from Monash University and is fluent in Hindi, Bengali and Nepali.

Dr Thilini Kanankegamage graduated from University of Melbourne in 2006 with MBBS and BMedSc degrees. Then worked for 3 years in various hospitals including St Vincent's Hospital and Monash Medical Centre gaining experience in a broad range of medical fields.

After deciding to pursue a career in general practice, Dr Thilini commenced work at Valewood in 2011 while studying towards general practice qualifications.

Dr Thilini is also currently completing a Diploma in Child Health through Westmead Hospital NSW.
